Communion
On Thursday mornings there is a short 10.00am Communion service in the chapel at St. Nicholas Church.
Thursday Afternoon - 21st Century Monastery
Following on from Thursday morning Communion, we have a simple lunch of bread and soup at 12.30pm – you are welcome to join us. During lunch we read a few verses from the Bible and discuss them in a very informal way.
After lunch there is a time of prayer and creativity from 1.00pm-3.00pm.
During this time, members of the church are available to pray with people about any worries, difficulties or illnesses. If you would like to receive prayer, please feel free to come along. If you have never experienced prayer for healing or have rather strange impressions about it from the TV, please come and have a chat.
At the same time as the opportunity for prayer, we have time to be creative. This can involve banner making, weaving or work with clay – come along and join in, or just drop in to say hello.
Faith Zone
Faith Zone is our Thursday evening study group in which we explore our faith through Bible readings, discussion and teaching. We start with a bring-and-share meal together at 7.30pm, before we move on to the study session at 8.15pm.
