In the past, H3art Rhythms has hosted a variety of creative events for all the community. Details of some of these can be found below. You can also find links to the websites of groups and organisations who we have invited to stage events for us in the past on the links page.

Dreamweek 2009 was all about Rhythms of the World. We started the week 'drumming to the beat of the planet' with a World Rhythms music day. We were joined by Mark Bick, whose workshops turned our small group of uncertain singers into afully-fledged choir as we explored music from around the world. Psalm Drummers took over the main church in their drumming workshops, filling the bulding with powerful reverberations. They returned to conclude the week in an evening of powerful drum-led worship. Throughout the week we invited anyone using the building to participate in weaving our Rhythms of the World band (which can be seen above).

One of our first events, we set ourselves the task of rehearsing and performing an abridged interpretation of Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in just one day! In that short time frame we learned lines, songs, and dance routines, as well as creating backdrops and costumes. At the end of a hectic morning and afternoon, we performed our production, with audience members singing along to some of the better known songs!
Inspired by the success of Joseph, we decided to repeat the experience, this time we a more overtly Christian theme. Telling the story of Jesus’ last hours up to his crucifixion, we again rehearsed through the morning and afternoon before staging a moving production incoporating drama, dance and music, as well as an audio-visual display featuring images to communicate the power of Jesus' ultimate sacrifice.
The first Dreamweek was held before the founding of H3art Rhythms, but its success was instrumental in leading us to place creative community mission at the centre of our life as church.
Dreamweek was a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the completion of St. Nicholas Church and Community Complex. We hosted a range of events, the majority of which were free as a thank you for the continued support the Corfe Mullen community have given us.
The week kicked off with our 10th Birthday Party, featuring a free barbecue, performances from local schools, a bouncy castle, games, a lot of ballons and - perhaps most importantly - free cake!
Other events included a Bishop’s Tea Party for senior community members, a family entertainment show staged by Jim Bailey and music gigs Four Kornerz and local blues-rock band Swampfish, who rehearse in the St. Nicholas community complex.
