Can I get married at St. Nicholas or St. Hubert’s?

If you or your fiancé/e live in Corfe Mullen or if you have family links with either St. Nicholas or St. Hubert’s you are welcome to arrange a wedding. Please contact the Parish Office (Tel: 01202 602948; email: office@h3artrhythms.org.uk)

If one of you has been divorced, please ask the office to make an appointment for you with the Rector who will discuss this with you.

How do I get my baby christened?

You are welcome to arrange a christening (now usually called baptism) at St. Nicholas or St. Hubert’s. Please contact the Parish Office (Tel: 01202 602948; email: office@h3artrhythms.org.uk) or call in any morning Monday to Friday to collect a form.

How do I book a room at St. Nicholas?

We let rooms of different sizes for regular groups or for one-off meetings or special occasions. A booking form must be completed first and payment made in advance. For more information, please contact the Parish Office on 01202 602948. Our Lettings Office, run by our Lettings Administrator, Shelly Patenall (email: finance.st.n@btconnect.com) is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.

How do I arrange for a plot for cremated remains in the churchyard?

The ancient church of St. Hubert has a churchyard which is open to residents of Corfe Mullen and members of the church electoral roll for the interment of cremated remains. Plots cannot be bought nor reserved. Fees are charged to cover the costs and there are rules about memorial stones or plaques which must be complied with. Arrangements for the interment of ashes are to be made through the Parish Office (Tel: 01202 602948; email: office@h3artrhythms.org.uk).

What activities do you have for children?

We have a range of clubs for young people of all ages. Please look at the details in the community page on the website.

Our 11.00am service at St. Nicholas each Sunday is called MADhouse and is a short active and participatory time which is especially suitable for families.

We also have dreamdays or a dreamweek on a regular basis with special creative activities for all ages. Details of these are listed on the events page. We usually run a Holiday Club every summer.

How can I find out more about the Christian faith?

You are welcome to join an ALPHA group which we will run twice a year. Contact the Parish Office (Tel: 01202 602948; email: office@h3artrhythms.org.uk) for more details.

Every week we have Faith Zone on Thursday evening from 7.30-9.30pm, beginning with a shared meal to which anyone is welcome. After the meal we learn about the Christian faith in a variety of ways.

Is the old church still open?

Yes, St. Hubert’s is still open. We hold a service of Holy Communion on Sunday morning at 8.00am; Evensong at 6.30pm on Sundays between March and December. We also hold baptisms, weddings and funerals there.

What sort of services do you have?

All our services are listed on the worship page of the website. The services vary in style, with traditional Holy Communion services; MADhouse active all-age creative time and Informal Worship once a month in the evening. There are also opportunities for prayer for healing.

What are Dreamdays? What is Dreamweek?

These are our creative community events; ‘dream’ stands for drama, ethics, art and music, so creative engagement and fun are central. We hold Deamdays several times a year and a Dreamweek once every two years. Please see the events page for details.
